HOW LONG SHALL YOU HOLD BETWEEN TWO OPINIONS?

1 Kings 18:21-22 KJV.

21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. Time comes when a servant of God requires the support of the believers in fight against the false prophets and there wickedness.

Today, true men of God are left alone battling against the false prophets as the modern day Christian are watching from a far not willing to show their public position. These they do in fear of persecutions.

Elijah, the servant of God experienced the same as he battled the wickedness of Jezebel and her false prophets.

As the people were silent and watching from a far, Obadiah was on the other hand doing his part in feeding the other prophets of God and protecting them from the wrath of Jezebel.

1Kings 18:1-4 KJV

1 And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.

2 And Elijah went to shew himself unto Ahab. And there was a sore famine in Samaria.

3 And Ahab called Obadiah, which was the governor of his house. (Now Obadiah feared the LORD greatly:

4 For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.

It is a rare thing today to find people like Obadiah who are willing to risk and stand in for the servants of God that are being persecuted by the false prophets.

Most Christians would rather chose to shy away and maintain their dignity and respect to the public. Such Christians are a let down to the battle against the false prophets who are using all means to silence the vessels of truth.

John 12:42-43 KJV.

42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

John 7:11-13 KJV

11 Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?

12 And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people.

13 Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.

It is time the believers declared their position in the battle against the false prophets. It is an evil thing when you chose to play it cool in the battle. Showing support proves that you are on the side of God and His army.

Joshua 24:15 KJV

15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Shalom.
